Sharon Morgera began her career as a commercial lettering artist after a 2-year apprenticeship with internationally known master penman, Raphael Boguslav in 1989. After perfecting her hand, she developed a thriving calligraphy business in Newport, RI designing invitations, menus and seating scrolls. Sharon’s lifelong passion for illustration led her to complete work towards a certificate in Natural Science Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. She now incorporates botanical drawings into many of her commissioned works. Sharon’s work has been published in Bliss Celebrations, Rhode Island Monthly, Newport Life magazine and Princess House promotional materials. Corporate clients include Louis Vuitton, Brooks Brothers, Salve Regina University, The International Tennis Hall of Fame, Newport Chocolates, Exquisite Events Catering & Design, Princess House and the Preservation Society of Newport County. Calligraphy remains her primary interest, specializing in hand lettering using script, italic and custom fonts. All inks are custom-mixed to perfectly coordinate with any color scheme.
